Puzzle with missing piece revealing "Internship" surrounded by words like "Experience," "Success," "Advice," "Opportunity," "Skills," "Knowledge," "Training," "Practice," "Mentoring," and "Goal."

While CALM is not APA-accredited or part of APIC, CALM has provided a place for several Interns to take their last step before becoming full-fledged psychologists. In fact, one of our owners, Dr. Tamba, was an intern at CALM before becoming a Postdoctoral Student at CALM and then becoming a leader in the field of Minnesota Psychology.

CALM interns have the advantage of flexibility in schedule and how much of their clinical load is therapy versus assessment. CALM takes the same approach towards supervision with Interns as it does with practicum students in that we emphasize a developmental model. We meet you “where you are at” and help you develop relative weaknesses while also working on your strengths.

In addition, you will get to help in training practicum students. This represents a unique opportunity and, we believe, is essential in the field of psychology. In addition, it will help you understand just how far you have come!

If you think CALM is for you, please explore our website or reach out to Claire@calm.us or Mercey@calm.us for further information or possible students they can contact about their experience.
